Launch of ABBEYGATE GALLERIES. A permenant display of work by local artist Les Porter. Opened by the editor of the Grimsby Evening Telegraph, Peter Moore.

First pieces of HANDPAINTED FURNITURE by EDEN arrived.

17th July 1999

FOLK DAY. In aid of Macmillan Cancer Research, Abbeygate Galleries with help from "Folk At The Oak" raised over £100 by holding an afternoon of live entertainment and a raffle. First Prize, an original painting by Les Porter.

THE BUTTERY opened after reloction to Abbeygate Galleries and Antiques

THE BUTTERY were granted a drinks licence to allow alcohol to be served with meals

25 March 2001

THE BUTTERY opened for a special sunday lunch to celebrate mothers day and one full year in Abbeygate
